WORKSHOP
Stress management: Stop & Feel
Our minds wander, and often wander towards negative's. We tend to live either in the past or in the future, but seldom at the moment. While this has been an evolutionary saviour, in our modern ever-changing lives, this wonderful mind of ours seems to turn against us.
With too many tabs open in our head, life can get exhausting, concentration at any given time to anything becomes harder which at the end causes emotional and mental stress and/or anxiety. Stress is the driving force when needed, but when it's constant, it drains us mentally and physically.
In this workshop, we'll talk about the causes of mental stress and remedies against it based on ancient teachings and modern theories.
We'll start the workshop with Rumi meditation, and move on with a brief talk on stress and its management.
Then, we'll go through a 45min mild flowy yoga practise where we'll focus on bodily sensations to slow down our minds. This will be followed by another brief session of talks and circle discussions. Finally, we'll end the workshop with an energizing bodywork to move on to our day full of energy and inspiration.
This workshop is going to be based on practising, feeling and sharing.

Yoga practise: flow & notice & feel
I’m specialized in Awakening Yoga which is based on vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on functional alignment and introspection. It’s developed by renown yoga teacher Patrick Beach and Carling Nicole. Instead of trying to change our bodies to fit into a pose, we modify the pose to make it fit to our body. Curiosity for the practise, for our edges and rituals for giving in is at the core of the awakening yoga practise.
In the workshop, we’ll flow through a mild yoga flow as a moving meditation with a focus on introspection and spinal freedom. This practise is about less expectation, more observation to notice without judgment.
Previous yoga experience is not required.
