Root cause: healthier habits, improved wellbeing
I experienced first-hand the benefits from a functional medicine approach in my life treating my auto-immune disease and improving my health and wellbeing.
Functional medicine is an approach to medicine where specialists and doctors look for the root causes of the symptoms with a holistic approach, instead of suppressing them.
Holistic approach is much needed because our life style choices affect our overall wellbeing much more than we might think.

This approach is particularly useful in the treatment of auto-immune diseases which decrease the quality of life and hard to diagnose. The complaints and symptoms can vary across individuals and our modern medicine is more focused on pharmacological treatment to suppress symptoms.
In this workshop, we’ll go over the main pillars of wellbeing and discuss ways to improve our overall health based on our life style choices. This is going to be a workshop with a practical approach to wellbeing with bonus content on habit building practises.
Yoga practise: Ladder flow
The training will be followed by a 45min yoga practise with ladder flow.

I’m specialized in Awakening Yoga which is based on vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on functional alignment and introspection. It’s developed by renown yoga teacher Patrick Beach and Carling Nicole. Instead of trying to change our bodies to fit into a pose, we modify the pose to make it fit to our body. Curiosity for the practise, for our edges and rituals for giving in is at the core of the awakening yoga practise.
In the workshop, we’ll do a ladder flow with ritualistic movement building up in a steady pace.
This is not going to be a strenuous, advanced yoga practise. But previous yoga experience would help, though not required.
